The Muskoka Computes and Hobbies Central Shop Layout is becoming a reality.

As a result of a worldwide search (on an N scale specific forum), the four executives of the MC&H have made their decision.

Will (CEO), Billco (CFO), Dave (Electrical Engineer) and Tom (Civil Engineer) have decided that the following route will be followed for the MC&H Central Railway.

The above plan was submitted by the Famous Swiss-man, now German resident, Mr. Jack43. His other titles include Paul, "The Master", "Micro-Angelo" "Resident Artist" etc.

The four members of the board of directors of the MC&H Central Railway are pleased to announce that Mr. Jack43 is making the journey from Ziemetshausen, Germany to Huntsville, Ontario to supervise the initial construction of the MC&H Central.

Construction will begin on March 8th. Daily updates will be posted on the shop website:

Come on over and check it out.

Cool! And you're going to build it on a Leggo table!!:D
Maybe I'm missing something, but how do you get the train from one loop to the other? Just going around in circles will eb come very boring, very quickly.

Day Two of The Master's Layout build and 28 more photos have been added.

Paul was able to finish the roadbed today and most of the cork and a great deal of the track. He even started the first stage of weathering the track. At the end of the day, Paul was happy with his progress. Yes, he is a happy camper.

Paul's assistant Dustin came in to help out
and Paul even got Will Annand involved today, in between computer repairs.

Day Five and already the scenery has begun, this is the part I was looking forward to, seeing how a photographer and artist does scenery.

There are now 96 photos up on the website.

Week One has come to an end.

Paul has been getting plastered and carving rocks all day. :D

Todays installment features 18 new photos. That brings the first week's total to 114 photos.

Next week I will have to start a new page, this one is getting crazy big.

The last shot is special, our photographer Rob hired a helicopter so he could get an aerial view of the entire layout. Google Earth has nothing on Rob Seymour.

Will that's really coming along!
Looking forward to seeing the finished layout, maybe in person someday...

With the start of the 2nd week I have added second Layout Page to the website.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then we have said 142,000+ words about the layout so far.

Day Ten:

This is turning into one of those "hard to believe it is N-scale" layouts.

Paul is doing an amazing job on the layout, proving why on the N Scale Org forum they call him "Micro Angelo". The detail in the cabin area has to be seen to be believed.

The photo total is now 198.

The town is being designed and the gorge behind the trestle is taking shape.

The two main things I have learned from Paul during these two weeks are concentration and logic. Whenever he is approaching an area, he always says "I will do it this way because it is logical". And when he is carving his rock he is very focused and serious, he says he has to concentrate to get it looking real. "Take your time and concentrate on doing it right".

Well, by now Paul is in the air and on his way back to Germany.

Many people here were touched by his amazingly jovial personality. He was always friendly and everyone he met liked him imediately.

As for the layout. He almost succeeded in his quest to complete a layout in two weeks. The only thing left for Tom and I to do is the small village on the upper level.

I have just updated the website and it now has a total of 220 photos of this amazing build.

Paul, from everyone here in Muskoka, Danke mein Freund.

Now I have to finish writing the article and sorting the photos so I can send them to the magazine.
