Hi, I am new to the Kato and other of the "higher end" N scale products, I have ran Bachmann Spectrun A-B powered F units sets and have had problems with motors running at different speeds, where 1 is dragging down the other, and the other will pull apart from the train and take off. I did not know this sort of thing happened with Kato motors, I was told they are some of the best quality, well, today i recived my 2 brand new PRR Broadway Limited Kato A-A set, and sure enough, the 1 unit runs at least at twice the speed of the other unit, so you are impossible to run toigether, the slower one drags down the faster, and the faster rips away if put in front and runs wild. I do not run DCC, just good old simple dc, I just like to see them operate, and after paying the prices for these "high quality" locos, I am very disappointed they appear to have the same operating problems with the motors as the cheaper products. I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion or suggestion, as I have no experience with these Kato units, is there something wrong with the slow one? It runs smooth and quiet by itself, just as the faster unit does, but put them together and it is a mess.
