I got the idea, to do one free custom paint job per year for a deserving member.

So here goes:
  • One Locomotive/Railcar/Structure (Max 2 colors free)
  • Owner must pay shipping to me (obviously)
  • Would prefer an Undec model (to save my effort)
  • Owner must provide decals if they're not common (I.E. Custom, one off, ect)
  • One "winner" will be chosen by me
  • Reply with what you'd like, and why you think you deserve it
  • All "entries" by March 31st 2009

2 Colors is only stated for base colors. Details such as fuel fillers & MU hoses do not count towards the colors. I'm looking to do this for someone who's either on a fixed income, or younger kids, however all entries are seriously considered...

Edit I moved the cut off date up to March 31st to get the "winners" project started sooner!

And his paint jobs are well worth paying for! He did BNSF #617 c44-9w in new swoosh, and #634 c44-9w in H2, for me awhile back and they are magnificent. He's got some pics of them over on his website, but I'm sure he might post them here.

I would enter, I just don't have any type of scheme or decals. I also don't have any kind of reason why I would need to win, 2k8 was a good year for me, it is time to spread it around.

Although I do have a loco that was painted all black that could use some color and stuff. Maybe if some members want to pass it around, upgrade it to DCC and detail it, I would be willing to let it go. Once it is done it could be "auctioned" off to someone who needs it or something.

Another example of how helpful people are on here and in the hobby in general. That is a really awesome gesture, Josh! :)
