Hi All,
I am pretty much completely new to Model Trains in N Scale. I have for years had HO Slot cars and built a massive track (28' * 8') will full scenery. I have had some HO trains, so know how they all work - but N scale really appeals.
I have been doing heaps of research and are going with Kato Unitrack. My only real issues are track design. Space really isn't an issue - but I would rather longer, than wider. I have searched and searched the net for track building software - but I have an AppleMac and there is not much out there at all for the Mac crowd!
So, my question is - can someone point me to a nice set of N scale layouts in Unitrack that I could get some ideas from? yes - I have been to the Unitrack Website and they have a few, but not what I am looking for so far.
I have bought quite a few Union Pacific trains/locos and really would like to do some soft of UP layout. Sorry if I am a little vague, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Goods new is, I can do wiring, scenery and woodworking - so all that is covered.. just the layout design ! Oh, and I would like to use a helix too somewhere as I think it is a great idea going up and down levels.
