Larry

Long Winded Old Fart
Starting a new pictures thread for GAP railroad. Will put all my newer pictures of the layout additions & rolling stock, engines, etc. instead of starting a new thread for each item.
Here's a new De-Weeding custom built car. Finished today. Pictures make it "Funky".

Larry, you've got to stop designing things like that when you've been into the eggnog. :) Strange but oddly fascinating.

Jim, I don't know if I should Thank You for that comment or not.

Never had any EggNog in my whole old life.;)

Never know how Ugly something is till you take a photo of it.:D

It must work, Look at jims layout! Ifn spiked nog helps jim do that fantastic on his layout it must work! I know I enjoy a beer when I'm working on my trains!

LOL, I really did like rum and eggnog...back in the days when I could drink alcohol. Since I got Meniere's Synydrome in 2001, alcohol is one of the triggers. If I drink, whatever it is my brain that's connected to my ear goes nuts and I end up with vertigo and vomiting for about eight hours. All the bad parts of being drunk and none of the fun parts. :( I did like a beer on a hot day too. I tried one of those alcohol free beers - once. Phooey! How do people drink that stuff?

Jim, I haven't had an alcohol drink since 1981. I do drink Old Milwaukee NA beer. Tastes like beer w/out the high. Odoules(sp) tastes like dish water. Try OM NA in the red box in the beer isle at WM. 12 pack here in my WM is $6.97.

Larry - Something about the blue and red colors makes that thing look like a reject design from the Thomas the Tank engine Folks ---- and I do mean TANK!:)

This is my big Summer Project coming up. These prints are HO Scale. The main part of the car before the load is added is 26 inches long. Gonna have to build a layout just for that car.:D

My new EBay Engine. Bought it on the 29th of Dec. & got it yesterday.
It's an Atlas Silver Series MP-15DC Southern. It's brand new & I paid $50.00
plus $6.00 freight. A really nice detailed engine.

Nice engine indeed for $56. You should check the connection rod from the two brake cylinders on the left (rear) truck in the first photo. It looks like it's come out of the hole in the end of the brake cylinder. Should be no big deal to fix, but it's liable to get tangled up in the truck if it's left loose. Look at the front truck and you'll see what you have to do to fix it.

Let me know if you ever want to trade shells, I just got my CP MP15 DC the other day, Silver version too for $65 on sale from modeltrainstuff.com. I love it but I could always use another Southern on the Roster.

Thanks Jim, I can fix that real easy. Never noticed it. It's the little things that count.;)

Wait till you see what I have coming in, in a week or so.
I've also been working on 2 more B units. It's so damn cold here in Florida having a hard time getting my hands to work. Even have 2 heaters going in my work shop & can't get completely warm. Was 29* all day outside w/heavy rain. Expect snow tonite or tomorrow. had some sleet today. It's been in the low to mid 20's till about 10am for over a week. Been in Florida for 70 years & have never seen it like this. Who said we were having Global Warming.
Supposed to be in the low teens most of tomorrow.
