How about a 1950s era mining truck. Euclid, International, or Mack. All of the trucks available now are too modern. I'd also like a mining shovel from the 1946 to 1950 era. Ertal has a great model of a P&H shovel but it again is modern.
Don Mills has some nice resin 50's trucks:

I seem to find the exact opposite. Truly modern trucks (as in the last 3-5 years) are difficult to find outside of resin craftsman-style kits or kit-bashing Herpa vehicles. I'm trying to collect enough tractors to model a UPS & Overnite fleet, but the Volvo and newer Mack trucks require resin kits that cost upwards of $40 a piece. On the other hand, Classic Metal Works makes dozens of 1950s trucks and other 1930s - 1960s vehicles in the $6 - $12 range. (http://www.toytrainheaven.com/.sc/ms/cat/HO Vehicles--Classic Metal Works)
Nate, I'm working on playing with some UPS trucks too. What about them newer Sterlings?
I still cant believe, after all these years, and all of the over-the-road semi trucks that have been out. NO ONE, but NO ONE, makes a 1970's Kenworth Cab-Over in a single, double, or aerodyne version!!! Tyco did a sorry attempt, but where's the GOOD ones???
No resin one? I'd say, try suggesting it to Dennis Aust, he makes a number of Kenworths.

Nice websites Josh! I haven't been to either of those before.

Yeah, there doesn't seem to be anything even remotely close to the Sterlings available. At least there are resin kits for the newer Internationals (http://members.shaw.ca/jacobsmodels/). They're not cheap though. It's hard to model a fleet of trucks at $40 bucks a pop. I suppose you could say the same thing about rolling stock, but it seems to me that you would need quite a few more trucks to fill up the same amount of space as a few box cars

Ahhh, 9200's are you sure? *thinks about the 9200's we have at work* I guess.

That reminds me, I saw the coolest Fedex Ground truck last night. It was an extended frame Pete "chicken runner" w/o a sleeper, complete chrome front fenders, bumper, big stacks, and a nice big "FEDEX Ground" on the door!

How about more Grocery store trucks ie..(Albertsons,Food 4 Less, Vons, ) and so forth:p

If you mean on the Atlas step vans, I'm sure we will see more in the future. They aren't going to limit a product like that, especially with the variety of prototype schemes out there, to one or two runs.

I work in the city of Vernon(CA) and I noticed alot of cattering trucks. There you go the next HO scale vehicle, A cattering truck or a armored truck:eek:

I've been eying up wanting some fire engines, with more modern parts. I can get the cabs, but the rest...

There is a modeler I can't remember his name but I met him at the Culver City 1/87 meet a couple of years ago. He scratch builds the Seagrave units in various models. I can remember the USAR truck, pumper, articulated hook and ladder. At the show he did a little clinic starting with a resin mold carving shaping it into a modern fire truck. He had finished product and I think he was selling them for about $10 a pop.

HO vehicles

I agree, there are not enough HO vehicles available. I have a UHAUL facility on my layout and use both AHM and Con-Cor trucks. I also found that Trident, Inc makes vans and half ton chevy trucks. They say UDRIVE on them but, they still work with the UHAUL trucks.
I would like to see some different Post Office trucks as well.
I did find a gentleman on ebay that sells different delivery trucks decaled for bread companies and cleaning companies such as Dempsey.
And above all, we need many more types of cars, vans, pickups etc.
I just ordered some HO PT Cruisers from Walthers. That's a start but we need much more.

I've been thinking of combining a few kits and part to get myself a nice Tiller. It would be nice to see what he did.

I forgot the maker's name, but there are step vans available.I'll let you know who makes them when I find out.All I know the same maker makes Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
