if they are still around in any shops. Any leads would be appreciated, I don't know how long they have been out of production or if they were manf. with the better trucks

I just checked and we do not have them... Very Slim chance we might have them in our store, I will have to check tomorrow

I don't have Intermountain available BUT I do have, 'The Tool' for reaming the journals of the truck frames to enhance their free rolling. It's just a matter of removing the axel and wheels and inserting the tool and giving it a few twists, reversing the tool and doing the same till all journals are nice and smooth! Mfg claims you be amaised! Another thing to check is the pointed end of the axel to insure the surfaces are smooth? If not a bit of very fine emry cloths held against the sides of the champfered surfaces should clean them up nicely.
'The Tool' list for $10.95 and I always give forum members a break from list when possible!
