Has anyone done a conversion of the N scale Walther's Berkshire to DCC with sound? I know that there is an outfit that is turning Kato Mikados into DCC/sound and was wondering if it could be done with the Berkshire.

Yes. I used the MRC steam sound decoder, mounted in the tender. It doesn't sound bad, though the whistle is a bit anemic.
 
Do you mind if I ask how difficult the installation was? What all did you have to do? Total greenhorn here.
