N Scale Walthers ADM Grain Elevator

I am looking at possibly adding this industry on my layout. The dimensons for this building are roughly 6" x 9" x 9". Does anyone have this building on their layout and if so can it be easily built into a half width building ( making it 3" x "9" x 9") so it can fit against a backdrop? Pics would be nice if available. Thanks.

Hi There,

Ive built the Walthers N ADM grain kit for a client who wanted a massive one. I had to build to his building specs, and like yours, he needed it to be a backdrop building. I was able to do it without it being too difficult. Here is a link to my photobucket album with the pictures of it:

So making it a 3" width should be no problem. Does the kit come in two halfs to make 6"?

I dont exactly remember how deep i did it when i built it. I used 3 kits to get the length of the silos, basically the front and back of the silo structure are double wide, and the rest is just a silo in the front giving the allusion that the rest of the structure is also 2 silos wide.

like i said, i dont exactly remember how wide i built the structure, but i think it was around 3-4" wide and i didnt have any problems doing it. Just some simply straight cutting of the 2 side walls.
