I'm still new to N scale so forgive the seemingly stupid question. Will a GP30 coupled to two 50' box cars fit on a 14" piece of track? I'm trying to work out clearances and track capacities for my N scale mini layout.
thanks!
Each 50 foot box car should be about 4" long, including coupler length. A GP-30 should be about 4.2" over the coupler faces. So, 4+4+4.2=12.2", which should fit on your 14" track.
Thanks, I did the math myself but just wanted to be sure! Always helps to get someone else's perspective to make sure I didn't make a mistake.
Hey it's N scale yes it will work
