I need some ideas for how to turn my loco's around once. I'm at the end my the line and I've got a layout with 2 ovals (1 small and one large including a industrial yard). I'm thinking of using a y turn around but everytime i draw one up on AnyRail it doesnt line up.
If space is the issue, then perhaps the old steam standby of a turntable might be the answer...
Turntables are still in use today. There's LOTS of them around and in daily use. they aren't just for steam. A wye will also work. The other option is a reversing loop.
i think a wye would work best for my layout but like i said before i keep geting a gap and the track wont line up can anyone help me out with this

If you think about it, flex track is a wonderful thing, leave the computer out of it and set up the Y using your turnouts, and with a piece of flextrak, set it up to see if it will fit. I'd think you could do it using flex track. If not, then a turntable is the answer.
I railfan in Winslow, AZ a lot and they still use a turntable to turn their diesels.
