My new caboose

I like TYCO!
Anyone,
This little guy is all metal with a metal frame. Any idea of what the manufacturer is and when it may have been made? HO scale.

I have one of those too. I saw it advertised in Model Railroader, in the early to mid 70's IIRC. I will have to dig into some e mails I received about it and report back. Mine isn't in as nice a shape as yours.

Cheers,
Greg

Whatever it may be, it sure is a neat little caboose...

I found some info on this caboose for an O scale kit.
<quote:
Grasse River Logging Caboose #71... It was undoubtedly built in the company shop at Conifer, NY., but no one seems to remeber it's early history. It was just there. After being sold to the Haywood Wakefield Furniture Co. it became the company's pride and joy. #71 was rebuilt and painted many times. It even had ladders and a roofwalk at one time (this model kit does not). One of it's last revisions was the installation of a john and the legend "Perry's Pride" on the side. The caboose carried the herald G.R.R. and the number 71 centered between the windows.

Hope this helps.
