Hi Everyone,

I am starting my first layout in 40 year. Is there a good rescource for making track plans? How does one get started?

Thanks Matt

I found 100s of plans online, and others from this forum and others were a huge help !
ps . Welcome Matt

Welcome Matt!
How does one get started?
Do you know what scale you want to model in? Do you know how big a layout you want? (How much room do you have?) Do you want continuous running? A switching layout? Or both? Just some of the variables to ask yourself.
I have a 1956 version of 101 Track Plans by Linn Wescott that I'd be happy to send you. The front & rear covers are kind of ruff, (detached) but the rest of it is solid and very good condition. I am not going to use it, how about you pay the postage?
A google search will show you the book.....
Click the envelope upper right end of the blue bar if you are interested.....

Be prepared to become a little overwhelmed :) There is a lot we can do to help you but as @2Tracks says, we need to know a little bit more about your situation. One more thing that I would add is that it would be good to know your budget as well.
