a friend of mine told me they have a apperatus to suspend the engine and tender so you can run the engine and tender and hear the proto sounds that come with the unitwithout having to use the track. supposedly you don't need track. has anyone heard of this? if so does anyone know where i can get one?
thanks

These are also nice to give an engine some run time if not on a layout - or for break-in time for a new locomotive.

Mine came as a set. I did buy two because, as you noted, some BIG steam engines, especially compounds, need the support and some pick up power from the tender.
