New to DCC, installed MRC wireless and having great trouble. Been reading manual and still don't understand this. I can some engines to run, having trouble understanding how to enter loco info. Any gracious MRC experts that would take a call on some questions?
Mabe you could be a little more specific on exactly what you are having trouble with. Also, you can get help specific to MRC on the MRC Yahoo Group site:

whats the loco address? if the decoder was just installed it is 0003
onthe controler press "loco" then type in 0003 and hit enter. you should have control of that engine.

I'm trying to figure out how to enter and name, can I name each entered Loco. I have 2 now that I must have deprogrammed as they do not move now. Can I enter say 6 Loco and name them by say road # and control them. I feel stupid but I'm not really getting any easy info from the manual....seems very complex.
yes, you can renumber them to any number from 1-9999
to change the decoders loco default number of 3 to a diffrent number....
Loco placed on the layout.
Press "Prog" button a few times untill it reads something such as "Prog main"
hit "enter"
It is now asking what loco address to program. If 0003 is on the screen press enter again
now I think 0003 is flashing? if it is put in the new number XXXX hit enter and skip the SV ACC DCC TV stuff for now.
Then press "loco" and type in the new address you just entered. that should get you the loco but under the new number.
if you lost control of your other locos try this.
set up a "Program track". Insert w wires to the port labeled Program track on the back of the MRC unit
place loco on the test track
Press "Prog" untill the display reads something like "read prog track"
hit enter
"adr" should flash press enter again...it should display that decoders address.
put the loco on the layout track and bring that number up by pressing "loco" then the number. you should have control of it?
