That GP-35 with the wide nose actually looks pretty good. It would be a head turner at a club. That "thing" with with the part FA body and Blunt trucks is really weird.
The athearn GP35 with the CSX GE cab looks pretty interesting. Definetly possible. I remember seeing some photos of MoPac GE's with replacement emd cabs.
As for the blue engine it appears to be a old Model Power 1000hp switcher frame, Model Power FA2 shell- Actually a fa-1 shell but I think they marketed as a FA2, And the cab looks like it is off of a old Bachmann U36B. It definently reminds me of the photos of some of the Mexico railroad creations.
Bernie, both weird and interesting. It actually looks like something you'd expect to come out of a rebuilder's shop. The only thing I'd do is shorten that long handrail on the cab side.
Definitly a neat addition to the roster. How many real railroads did something similar (besides body changes for repowering)? I know Penn Central removed the short hood from an RS3 (left space from the steps to the cab) and the Santa FE had a "Beep" - Baldwin cab with a GP long hood. Any others??
