Hello All
Yesterday I decided to pump out the 20 bucks and subscribed to modeltrainsweathered
In the subscribe page it says "WAIT--- When you have finished the Subscription Checkout, email me with your Choice of Username and Password so that I can personally Activate your account."
I did that and a day later I still can't log in.
Do they have a problem with the site or does each person have to be manually registered?

I've never seen a site that the registration process isn't automated for registration, at least not since the 80's or early 90's.

Seems like it's a manual registration done by Rich the guy who runs it. I would shoot him another email, I seem to remember it taking a day or two for my account to be up and running as well.

BTW since you are into weathering here is another site, http://protoweathering.com/SMF/index.php a lot of the same people but different info and it is free

Rich has to manually register each person, his way to keep down on junk. Protoweathering is also a fantastic site!

Thanks for the info about protoweathering.com. Looks like a great site.

I had the same problem but it stemmed back to when I was a member before the site went pay based and it remembered my previous info but wouldn't recognize my new user name. A couple of emails and we got it straightened out.

I just discovered Proweathering the other day. I enjoyed MTW before it was a subscription based sight but not enough to justify paying for it personally.
