Modelling with Krystal Klear

Thought I’d start a discussion about using Krystal Klear or similar products.
What method do you use and what do you use it for? Photos would really help!
I've tried making windows with less than favourable results.

I've used it to make windows on steam locomotives, typically the cab front and rear windows. It can be challenging as it dries thick at the window frames and thin in the window centers due to surface tension when applying it. Sometimes multiple applications are necessary. You can't go too thick, because it can skin over and the stuff under the dry skin won't turn clear because it can't fully dry. I don't use it on large windows or on flat areas where more conventional materials serve better.

I think that may have been part of my problem, too thick at one time.
Also may be trying too big of a gap too, thin center and thick edges.

Rick. Just build it up slowly with a cocktail stick so you can have more control over it that’s what I use. When it starts drying you may have to move the subject around to make your windshield flat
