Model Railcraft Supply Depot?

The hobby shop that I've been using closed due to owner retirement. I'm looking for a place to pre-order items. In this case an HO scale locomotive. Someone (can't recall who) recommended Model Railcraft Supply Depot from New Jersey as a good place. Have any of you used these folks? Are they reliable? Any other recommendations for places to pre-order? Thank you.

Where in NJ are you? You might want to try the Big Little Train Shop in Somerville if you're local to them. Jan's a good lady to deal with. Also, which shop are you talking about that closed, once again I'm assuming you're in NJ. DK&B in Hightstown closed a couple of years back due to owner retirement, and there's been a rumour that the shop in Dunellen was going to close.

I think its Model Railway Post Office in NJ I used to use them a lot more untill we had some issues there with on of the employees there always had what we ordered. If your in NJ there is also Hudson Shores in Blavelt NY that has been very good. They have competitive pricing.

The MRPO is one of best shops in NNJ. The 2 guys who work there are very friendly. I can't see anyone having issues with the 2 guys im thinking of. Hudson shores is ok, not much stock but they always offer to get it. Not sure how teh store is doing now, last i read the husband was very very ill. There is also the model railroad shop in Piscattaway,NJ that has some great inventory of rolling stock and huge inventory of locomotivesin both HO and N scale.

Its was personal issues with what one of them said about a very good friend of mine and my dad and we chose to take our business else were. Hudson Shores is doing fine though they are looking for a little smaller place as they are getting out of O last I talked with the owners wife.
