Has anyone installed a DCC decoder in a Model Power Pacific? What is the secret of exposing the motor?
Remove the tender shell and connect the decoder to the terminal block. The only thing is that you will not be able to control the headlight. Otherwise a real easy conversion.
Glenn
Thanks for the response Glenn. My tender doesn't have a terminal strip, but upon closer look the red and black engine pickup wires come back to the tender where they join the tender pickup wires and the orange and gray motor wires connect there and go back to the engine. They are apparently soldered together and shrinkwrapped. All I probably have to do is unsolder everything and connect the proper wires to the decoder.
