minor detailing of BLI 2-10-2

After lubing and running in my new Broadway Limited Imports ATSF 2-10-2 3877 felt some minor detailing was in order.
1st she was assigned 2 new Weston crew members giving the cab a better look' I then added USRA style classification lights to the sides of the smokebox replacing the little black globs of plastic BLI had provided.
Finally I painted the exposed axle ends on the drivers and while i was at it painted the sides of the main rods a gloss black.

Since these pic's were taken saw that i had missed the pilot wheel axles 'took care of that.

Much better with real classification lights. I don't know why a high-end engine like that can't come with such an essential detail instead of those globs.
 
AT&SF 3877 being turned after fueling and servicing and ready to to pick up her consist and head out on the high iron.
 


That looks really great. BLI recomends 22" min but I have read in reviews that it really needs 27".
