See ya next week.

Ruins on same spot
it’s really easy to shift around as most of the landscape is flat and the road way has no specific identifying features
as you pull back you see more than I usually photograph

You can see buildings are shifting

and below you just see the graveyard for vehicles, to the right the water I’ll cows and waterfall which is a favourite area of mine, the lower lever has track work hidden by the higher scenery, this area is basically diorama because the tracks cross from one side to the other and I do not like the track work curve so hide it.
O the other side a similar situation.

Passing through a shot straight track area, not big enough for a good station situation so

tracks are hidden with a sliding cove area on wooden rails

the same area with the cove pushed back and some loose plaster cast cliffs hiding the join
and another raf area above

there is also a road way passing through the whole area

Missed my own thread yesterday!;) Here is an aerial view of a small peninsula called Jamestown. This is the first thing a visitor sees on the upper level when entering the train shed.

Almost everything in this small town is a laser-cut wood structure, with many mini-scenes.
This is Jacks Back Yard, from Bar Mills. It's on the lower left of the above picture.

All of the "junk/merchandise" was hand painted. Some came with the kit itself, some came from my details collection.

Please excuse the tiny cobwebs.
More from this town next week.

Classic, I love modelling coal.

I think it I see the hunt is out in the background, did I hear a horn? Poor 🦊 foxy will be looking for a nice little hide hole, you have even made mine leave his usual roadside haunt near the bins for a more remote location :D

I thought a couple of my sheep went missing... how did they end up over there?

Late contribution.

This is an old picture by JTEX (Jerome) it is my MLW boxcar when we used to do car exchange.....we simulated that I had a bad bearing so his crew changed out a wheel set. Notice the blue bearing cap.

Excellent set up,photo distance works with available detail, figure faces turned so figures give excellent realistic impression, very nice indeed.Weathering always adds the extra oomph.Plus the back ground skyline showing through the building looks great too.

If I was you I would look at the cars, the rear and front lights are often badly painted letting them down, I often do a touch up on my cars, as they are side of the scene it is not an image breaker. But if this scene was on my layout I would feel pretty chuffed about it :)

Talking of vehicles, I try for the best looking detailed ones, if the painting of the lights fails to fill the whole area I go over it,I usually darken any gaps in the hubs and just like figures I aim for the best view

a softer focus can hide any telltale model aspects

I prefer vehicles with plastic headlights rather than painted they are just so much better
but if not available I might paint in light effects lol
side indicators are worth the effort while your doing the rear

I have less effective models on the layout but I usually photograph the better models for better finish
