It's been a while since I posted anything. Good to see everyone is still active with their projects. Here is a creek scene from The Sonoma Mountain Railroad (HO Layout). The July issue of MR included another photo from the layout.

Excellent pictures, Jaz.

One minor thing (if you don't mind me saying). The wheels need dulling down and dirtying.

Use a mix of brown powders for the sides of the wheels - I use some of my wifes old make-up powders. They take the shine off. As for mud in the tread of the tires? A trick my son used on his quarry layout, run the model through a thin layer of (real) thick mud. Before it dries place the vehicle in situ - muddy wheels.

The model originally sat by a puddle and they were meant to be wet, but i think the idea you mention with the mud is spot on and I will try it I have used mud in the past I tried real mud on this postal van and was pleased with the result.
As for women’s make up yep I do that a lot plus I like weathering powders

although I think I’ll try it on a tractor first, thanks for the tips

Great looking scenes, Jaz.

Not nitpicking, Jaz. Just having fun.
What's the lad sitting on the flatbed for? He should be working. 😁

I did not know TNT could keep their vehicles so clean in Shrewsbury (DN reg). It is seven years older than the grubby Royal Mail van. (TNT51 reg to RM 08 reg) ;)

Keep the pictures coming. I like them.

I like nitpicking it ups my game.

These abandoned vehicles should have either no tyres….eek…no wheels… massive eek ..or at least flat tyres…I cannot bring myself to damage the vehicles, although a hot knife on a trailer wheel
