Speaking of MARX HO, I was digging through the garage looking for something else and found my old Marx HO train set. The tinplate track is long gone but the engine, caboose and three freight cars are still in their original box. The track was true tinplate, pressed sheet metal into a rail shape and mounted on card board ties. Like so much of Marx's trains, no real true prototype but neat non the less.

I had part of that set! My Dad got it for me for Christmas, but exchanged the loco for a Gilbert switcher, and Atlas brass track. I still have a couple of odd pieces of the tin plate track.

I still have, and run the caboose and frieght cars!

How nice to see these pics. I have and still run the little diesel switcher and two cars I received for Christmas I got almost 50 years ago.
