Well here is a first for me.....

I have never owned a kit from Collectors Corner Model before or even seen one. So I saw this and well of course I had to have it. At 8 bucks I couldn't go wrong. It's an average detailed kit not too bad. This came in today via USPS all the way from California 🤪

I got all 3 of these for 24 bucks plus 8 for shipping. Pretty good deal I think.

Those D&RGW cars are cool! Had not seen those before. Something new to add to the watch list - if, being custom, they can be found. Thanks!

I tell ya I debated the purchase of them. The images of them kept gnawing at me to buy them. I did research and asked around if they were prototypical but thus far it considered custom/fantasy scheme. I really am glad I bought them! Very unique scheme. I am still on the fence on placing a UP shield on them or maybe just one of them. For now they are considered on my layout.... as heritage schemes

Well as mentioned this morning in the coffee shop my package for the UP transfer caboose #13737 arrived today and I must say I am very please with this model. This is my first Bluford Model product I have owned and it is well worth the $ spent although not very expensive at all!

So here it is!

It even came with the generator that gets mounted on the truck/bearing hub on the side of the truck assembly.

After looking for the MOPAC version I managed to order one of those as well MOPAC #13087 from Spring Creek Model Trains hobby shop.

I should get by the end of next week.

I will post some pics of UP #13737 on JR's UPRR thread.....

Hard for me to not absolutely rave about this. Do you guys know the researcher/author John Luecke? He's written and co-written a bunch of books about railroads in Minnesota. The guy just recently completed a project of indexing 4,300 railroad maps from all over Minnesota. So for $35 I got a huge cache of Milwaukee, Rock, MN&S, GN, NP, C&NW, and other railroad's track geometry information. These things are incredible.

Also, since TrucTrain55 keeps posting his new Lionel stuff, I also got a Lionel piece! I've been wanting a caboose to go with my #2338 GP7 and I finally got one. This was a special caboose done for a Lionel club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Just received my new Digitrax UT-6 throttle the other day. My first impressions are....meh. Probably not going to get anymore. One reason is that they don’t fit into all my throttle pockets and another is that it will need updated via computer every now and then. Not interested it that.

Thanks for your input. I don't need another throttle since I have throttlesfrom the 400 series down to the first run of Digitrax throttles. In my opinion this new release of 600 Series throttles have a "Toy Like" appearance to them.
