Has anyoe heard of this? I was looking for the best most realistic grade crossing system and someone refered me to that one. I just can't find it though. I've googled it and all i got was the Logictech webcam...

Logicrail crossing protection !

Yes, I have their system in use protecting a 3-track crossing that diverges in both directions. A double crossover and a yard lead one way and a passing track the other ! It required two detectors & several extra photo cells . No matter what direction or which ever track, when a train approaches it operates the crossing flashers, gates ( Optional ) and sound module from Innovative Trains ( optional ). A timer shuts everything down upon the last set of wheels clears the crossing . The owner Chuck Stancil was very helpful with a schematic for the location of all the photo sensor placements and a wiring diagram that was very intimadating at first, but taken one wire at a time, went quite easily ! It works flawlessly ! I highly recommend it ! Joe

i've known Chuck over 20 years, a top electronics engineer and great guy as well.

looks like very nice , thought out solution.

i guess i need to stop cringing at pre-made solutions like that.

I've got one that protects two, double track crossings. It was a little tricky finding the right spacing for the optical detectors since both crossing are close but it works great once you have it set up right. You can even set it so LED crosing signals will have the realistic fade that your see in incandescent lamps.
