So where does one go to find all those cool details I see on the locomotives. Lilke the front dangly hoses, etc.

There are a bunch of companies that make engine detail parts. Best thing to do is go to the Walthers web site and search on engine details. You'll find tons. Detail Associates, Details West, and A-Line are probably the three largest. BTW, those dangly hoses are usually called MU cables if you're trying to find them. :)
 
Do you know if Detail West (or any supplier) has a kit for locomotives? For instance "Detail Kit for GP9".

DW has a few "super detail kits" I know they have kits for SP SD9E's as well as the SP Sd45's and SD40T-2's as i have used them for people in the past.


What are you looking to model? The details on the engines say a GP9 vary a lot from railroad to railroad.
