I learned Friday that our local Trinity Industries Tank Car Division has laid off some employees. :( It looks like the economic downturn is starting to really effect us now. Up until recently, it hasn't been too bad in Texas, but it looks like that's changing.
How's the RR industries fairing in some of the rest of the country?

Legget and Platte, a company by my house, closed this month. it fired all 150 (down from 578 in 2002) and is moving to mexico. CSX serviced it so I guess it will only by NS for me from now on =( Thankfully I personally haven't been affected by the economy. My end of Louisville (eastend) for the most part if anything times are good, last year the price of homes went UP! 3%, malls are still packed, and are still crankin out million dollar mcmansions as fast as they can.
