List of parts for air system

[NYSW F45]

Can anyone give me a brief run down of parts needed for the air system? I know I need the 2 air tanks that are above the fuel tank on both sides. Obviously some brass wire for hoses, what diameter? I can't remember what else. Can someone help me out?


This is a for an Athearn blue box SD40T-2.

I use .015" not sure if that's correct or not, but. It seems to be what Brian Banna uses as well.

Thanks Josh. I've gone over that guys site. he does some incredible work, especially that one lease unit with the huge rear porch.

The piping should connect to an air filter as well...
