Lionel Playground Swings Question

Hello. I just wired up a Lionel Swingset (6-14199) that I'd purchased used. I was surprised to learn that this accessory makes a good deal of noise. A lot of mechanical sound is present, as well as an audible 'clunk' when the magnet -carrying mechanism reaches the end of its travel. Is this normal when new, or has this swingset spent maybe too much time swinging? Thanks, TJ Coss
 
I'd say it's typical Lionel accessory noise. Only know of one accessory that was really quiet. That's the rotating beacon that used heat from a light bulb to turn.
 
It probably is normal noise, but it's really annoying. I'd like to hear from someone who's heard a new one, just to be sure. Another thing - the left swing doesn't "swing" in a smooth fulcrum, but rather wobbles as it nears the bottom of its arc. Doesn't look right. Maybe I'm expecting too much?
