Question:
Can Lionel's Legacy system run side-by-side with MTH's DCS? Can both systems run engines at the same time on the same track, without interferring with each other? If this is possible, please tel me how.
Thanks!
Yes, both types of engines can run together on the same track but you still need the DCS and TMCC controllers since DCS will not control the features on a TMCC engine. You should have a look at the O Gauge forums at
http://ogaugerr.infopop.cc/eve/forums. They have lots of folks that have been working on making the two systems compatible.
I have both systems hooked up together with the MTH cable connecting the TIU to the TMCC box. I can run both systems controlling different engines at the same time. I even programmed my Lionel TMCC engines into my DCS system as I much prefer the DCS over TMCC. You can do sooooo much more with DCS. On the switching layout that is under construction currently, I am going to use DCS exclusively to run everything.

I think the question was LEGACY DCS. There is no cable for that! I can not get my LEGACY/DCS to run together so far. It seem to be different then TMCC/Cab1

Please send instructions on how this is accomplished
