Kato Viaduct information.

I am just starting in N gauge. I have bought a pre-made track set which has a poorly built overpass which I want to rebuild it using the Kato viaduct piers. My problem is trying to interpret their catalogue. What is the difference between part number 23-015, (incline pier set), and 23-16 (gradual incline pier set)? I need to build a incline and decline with a level stretch in-between for which I assume I will need some 23-017, (single piers).

The gradual incline is nothing important in your case. And yes, you will need single piers if you want a flat section. Please note that these piers only work with Unitrack.
 
Thanks for the feed-back, and I am using Kato Unitrack, however I still wanted to know the difference in the two pier systems.
