Went over to Worden yesterday, on the UP mainline, there was a few cars at the grain elevator, one a fallen flag.
Compare to pic from a few days ago in front of house. (above) I can make out #178--maybe a 63--something on that car.
Part of the same batch of cars?
I don't care for graffiti, but there is some, very well done stuff out there....this was hooked to the CNW car. The Joe Camel car. Can you spot the cots stencil? The three sets of initials in red, I figured was the three people that tagged it, and the red 365, is they do this all year round, or this is their 365th tag.......idk

The anti-vehicle guard....This one is on the UPs Modoc Northern Line. Maintenance crews have since removed it and its laying off to the side by the grade crossing.....
I don't come across this very often in dealing with plastic parts, but come on people, this is not the time!
What's with the flash? This is not the item too have an access amount of flash! What a PIA to clean up. I have several different sets of NBW from Grant Line, but the two sets of 4 1/2" round washers are like this.....Mold malfunction?....idk
Setting on the south end of the Stukel siding for several months, I finally grab a picture. I had to zoom in as no road to get any closer.
Marked as SPMW, I joked to the track inspector about a place for him to stay......he said it's a car that's used whenever there is a work train, and, there were some big wigs showing up so it was pulled out to the siding. You guys that worked for the RR will understand......

Took the daughter & kids to the Museum yesterday, I had forgotten that the W.T.Co. 702 bobber cab was even back here. Stuffed between two buildings, posts, poles, fencing & weeds, this is my best shot. I thought there was a sign about the 702 but I didn't see one, I'll have to take a closer look next time I'm in town.....
I've been wanting to do this for a while.......and I kind of knew the results, but here they are side by side, white glues that basically all can be used for the same purpose. The shine, I wanted to show the shine.....or lack thereof....
A tuff one to photograph, I used 5 glues, full strength.
From left to right.... Scenic Cement, Elmer's white glue (not school), Ilene's Tacky glue, Modge Podge & Ballast Bond.
Clearly the Scenic Cement & Ballast Bond have a pronounced shine, both of them are alcohol based. As info.........
I heard the Modoc Northern local coming, so I grabbed the phone for any photo ops. I have a view of the tracks out my living room window, between a maple tree on the left & large ceder shrubs on the right. (just out of picture)
Cool, a couple of Rock Island hopper cars. Unfortunately, the highway is between me and the tracks, so when the RI car was in the clear, a motor home pulling this trailer appeared, both going left.....
1963, I lived in Gilchrist Or. One day our dad came and got my sister & me, took us to the south end of the Crescent siding.
Some Great Northern equipment was no longer in the up-right position.......
Some green & orange paint peeking over the top of the boxcar. What is it?
More green & orange showing......looks like a flat car underneath it. I am not in any of the pictures....
My biggest take away of the wreck at that time, was this mountain of saltine crackers that was several feet high.......
Looks like maybe a Santa Fe car that hemorrhaged the crackers......?
