Very nice pics and excellent modeling. The engine iself looks great but the ballast work and track weathering are even better. I can remember when it was easy to tell an N scale layout picture from the grossly oversized details on the rolling stock and the 250 pound rail. Now, I couldn't tell if that was N or HO. Kind of makes me wish I had reconsidered when I decided that my new layout would be HO.
Jim,The ballest is play sand I got from home depot( broken bag bin.50) and I sifted it about a millon times and the track is peco code 55,I run code 80 as there is no way i'm swapping out wheel sets on over 500 pc's of rolling stock.
