Got 2 of the 3 tracks for the crane facility installed and completed 2 tracks from Allied Rail Rebuilders.
Great progress!Spent all day laying track. Came out pretty good to me.

Fly boy, I do plan to ballast once I get to the scenery.I see you're laying track over cork roadbed that's painted gray. That's what I intend to do as well, and that's as far as it will go. No ballasting.
I purposely made them tight. Still doing the math on fitting all of these critters on the layout. yeah I figured you would like those mean greenies. Except for 7050, you wouldn't like that one. It got a Boo Boo.Yeah they do look a wee tight, what’s the spacing?
I think 1.5” to 2” is the norm.
Of course now if you get rid of those ugly green units clogging up the rails you'd have more clearance, but where to send them to...

Let's all hope that they are "fakes" instead of "floor models"!Sherrel, I will stay out of the Frisco/BN debate. I have both in SW's. 7050 will get more damage applied to it eventually. I'm thinking that Allied Rail Rebuilders will be the fix up shop for the wrecks I make.
Willie, I haven't had a "floor model" since I dropped my Riverossi Big Boy off of a 7' high shelf.Let's all hope that they are "fakes" instead of "floor models"!
Need a lot of room to squeeze in all those locomotives.Pretty tight spacing on the storage tracks.
