I am currently using Kato Uni-Track and have the opportunity to purchase a large lot of model equipment including EZ track by Bachman. My question is, is it possible to link the two types of track together?

Thanks,
John

It's almost impossible. The E-Z track is code 100 and had a large plastic connector between sections. The Kato track is is code 83 and the ends are just squared off and the sections are held together by rail joiners. The height and profiles of the plastic "roadbed" for both peoducts are also completely different. You could do it with some major surgery and a lot of shims but I think the results would not be reliable trackage/

It depends on whether your talking HO scale or N scale. In N scale, Unitrack and EZ-track are both code 80. If you cut the tab off of the EZ-track, it will join right up to the Unitrack(you do need to shim the Unitrack a little bit because it's roadbed is not as thick as EZ-track's).
