Ideas for roadside guardrails HO scale (help)

I am looking for any ideas on making highway type guardrails. I have a stretch of road that runs close to a stretch of track the needs to have some sort of guardrail between them. Any ideas? Thanks!

thanks for that tip Gramps... thats just what I need for the Roadway Scenery Im dowing down at the club. What are the posts made from? wooden Dowls?

Thanks, Trent. Yes, they are made from 5/32" dowels I found at AC Moore.

depending on if its a main or back road you could use chunks of old rail in the ground as well
