Final analysis. too old to be reliable. They look cool and when they work they work and when they don't I get irritated. Thought they were fairly reliable at first but I was testing with a single engine. When I started testing with multiple engines I got mixed results, some would pass turnout with no issues others would get hung up. wiring for crossovers was really screwy. Final straw was a test track with 2 atlas turnouts creating a crossover. insulated frogs. With one power source on one end of one of the 4 entrances/exits I was able to run a loco on all four with just one power source, no shorts or stalls, it just worked without a bunch of BS figuring. I still like the tru scale track though because I have a pile of 24, 26, 28, 32 34, 40, 44, 46 and 48 inch curves and there doesn't seem to be an issue with the track or gage issues. I have the first crossover ripped out and rebuilding the bed for the new plan. My dad always told me I like to learn things the hard way, but in this case it was good to see exactly why.
