I guess we'll never know how he got this taken care of.
I think this guy does not exist.
Generic threads, generic replies.
No answers to direct questions.
No avatar pic. No pics at all.
Nonsense posts such as, "sounds like elitism".
Just look at this thread, you think he would have
responded to what you or I said yesterday.

I would still like to know how you fixed the bell/ditch light/horn operation.
On the NCE, F6 controls the ditch lights, the rear ditch lights are controlled by direction, there is a button that controls a separate bell and when you blow the horn the bell also activates but you can silence it.
There is alot more that the dcc chip in the engine can do. I'm learning as I go along. The above is only a short amount of what I have learned so far!

Some of you guys expect that I have the answers of everything dcc. I don't!!!! This is my first dcc engine ever and when I posted I was asking questions because I didn't know the answers. did I tell you I am near 80 and technology challenged.
If I don't have the answers to your questions, please forgive me but I will try my best. I am not a technical type of person so just hang in there, ill try!!!
This can be a nice forum to learn but some of the people here seem to have a issue with newer posters. Maybe I'll just stop posting, who needs the aggravation!!

This is my first dcc engine ever

Earlier this year you started three threads that asked the same thing.
You confounded Jim so much that he combined them into one.

The thread is called "What dcc unit would you buy."

You started the thread in July and in the very first post, you say that
most of your locos are dcc equipped Genesis, Scale Trains, and Atlas.
Two days later you said a friend came by with his power cab and allowed
you to use it. You fell in love with the PowerCab, and proudly stated that
you had already ordered one online.

Then, a month later, you said you are leaning non-digital. No real need for dcc.

Then after that, you said you actually did not have a system because you
were unsure how easy it would be to implement. Funny, cause after all, the PowerCab was so easy...remember?

Then, about a month after that, back to dcc.

Now, in this thread, you say this is your first dcc loco.
Then you say you have six more, all set up, with another eight on the way.
That would be 15 expensive locos for a small switching layout.

A layout that you once said you are building.
But you have also said "Why I took my time is that my layout is only
now ready to buy."

Early on, you encouraged us to give away older stuff.
Why, you yourself had given away 100s of locos and cars. Remember?
Now you report that you sold off all your old stuff.

I can go on, and on...

You are asking me to believe that a non-tech savvy 80 year old, with cancer, has decided to switch to DCC and has purchased 15 expensive locos for a layout that is not yet ready.

I believe you are a person working for an AI company training a bot(s).
