Follow Hwy 90 from Del Rio west towards El Paso and you will see lots of those same kind of trestle bridges out there along the old SP mainline.
 
There are some between San Antonio and Flatonia on the SP line too, along with brand new concrete trestles. Many of the new ones are post 1998 or 2003 when we had some VERY big floods.
