It is a Walthers ALCO FA-1 PRR
This thing pulls great! It can pull (without losing too much speed) all six of my PRR Passenger cars up the 4% grade that I was haqving problems with...

Nice looking loco. Always seemed to me that people who model Pennsy have a much greater choice for 1st-generation diesels than almost any other railroad, because the Pennsy tried out just about EVERYTHING from Alco and Baldwin during their changeover from steam to diesel. You could always expect to see something on Pennsy that not that many other railroads bought. Always thought those Alco FA's were pretty handsome units. And if your model can tackle a 4% comfortably with a load, I'd say you got a pretty darned good loco.
You said Walther's. Is it one of their Proto models?

On the box, it says Walthers 'TRAINLINE" "ready to run"
here are some pics, not in link form...
Very nice. Sounds like its a good unit!
That's a Walther's Trainline FA-1. It has the same motor and drive train and the Proto line but the body has less added detail and more molded things like handrails instead of separate pieces. They are a great buy if you can live without things like air hoses and see-through side panels.
For forty Bucks...I can live without those things for a while...
