Hutch's Conway Scenic Railroad Layout

Did some digital work today. I think I'll make some more changes to the back to make more room for structures and scenery. I'm slowing down as suggested.

Hutch - better, but why not extend the "double track" around to the top of the first bottom curve?

I love double track and I know some people don't; however, I think having a little gives you some additional options for example you could put an industry or something on the straight section of double - a warehouse or station maybe. Anyway - just thought I'd give you another option to confuse you more :)

Thanks Tony, I'll consider that. In the meantime I did some editing with paint3D. I didn't realize they include Bezier curves. I can't use Scarm at work but I can use Paint. Here's some additional stuff. I'm not very good at this program but I think it's worth my time to learn it.

I am glad to see you working in the roads in advance. One thing that usually bugs me is vehicles staged on a layout but no apparent way for them to have gotten there...

I realize "to each his own" I still enjoy seeing the road.

Since I had some inclines and track positioned, loosely, I decided to get some of "estate sale" stuff out to see what I have.

Drawer fill of turnouts, unused.

I started gluing down the incline starting with the inside curve using a glue gun. This allowed me to lift the outside edge and put shims for super elevation. Then I just tacked it in between the shims. I'm currently thinking the double track will be at a different level in this curve. It felt good to get something glued in place. Now I have to get some plaster cloth to finish it off.
