How would people feel about a weekly or monthly thread for photos?

Just a thread where you can drop a photo of something on your layout without starting a whole new thread for one photo.

I was thinking we could put it in the Showing Off section. I'd be happy to start a new thread every week/month.

Thoughts?

I see there is a Photo Contests section, but there have been no posts since 2012. Maybe calling it a Contest puts too much pressure on people?

Just to throw my swei pfennig in.
It is not necessary to start a new thread for a single photo. That fact won't stop posters who want to start a new thread in order to gain singular attention to their photo. There are no rules that I'm aware of preventing it, nor encouraging it.
Anyway, we now return you to regular scheduled programming....

Not going to lie, that's where the idea came from. They do a weekly photo thread too.

I like the idea and would certainly contribute. I agree that calling it a contest probably does put people off.

Another forum calls their thread "Workshop Wednesday"
However, it never changes! It is now 125 pages long.
