How Many Different Locomotives Road Names do you Have on Your Layout?

A 60 class and a "Cardean" both in full Caledonian livery and a further "Cardean" in lined LMS crimson lake. Also a 439 class 0-4-4T and a "Wemyss Bay Pug" 4-6-2T, both under construction, to be given full Caledonian livery. I also have a Bachmann 812 class 0-6-0, but I haven't worked out how to convert it to 3 rail yet.......
Really nice locomotives.

It is the Caledonian Railway Company. Great rivals to the North British Railway. ;)

I don't have a layout yet. But I am currently collecting NYC ATSF BNSF
PRR UP and a few others I am pondering over. Like Frisco and MO-PAC.
Also I will collect whatever engine I don't have that I want regardless if it is a railroad I have or not.
If I want a SP GS4, (Even though I don't have a lot of SP locos) I will get it.

Oh and British railways (BR GWR LNER).
Oh and the soon to be North western railway. https://ttte.fandom.com/wiki/North_Western_Railway
Oh and I plan on making a fictional railroad or two.
Oh and... Ok so there's a lot. 😶

Two counting locomotives only:
BNSF (two locos)
Trinity Railway Express (one loco)

Also have Union Pacific, Canadian National, Bangor and Aroostook, Texas Mexican Railway, and Burlington Northern only in rolling stock.

But I do a have a couple locomotive pre-orders on the way (soon hopefully) that will up that a bit. :D
Four now :D
BNSF (two locos)
Trinity Railway Express (one loco)
Union Pacific (one loco)
Fort Worth and Western (one loco)

The Swiss are rather disappointing with their more modern equipment from late era IV into V and VI. They just don't have a lot of variety. The Ge 4/4 (Re 420) the Re 6/6 (variation on a theme), and little else for passenger service. The Re 4/4 II is a favorite of mine, but that didn't even last three years before pulled from service, and I think only five were built. Then there is the ugly Re 460 still in service.

I'd like to see them use the Vectron in passenger service, but it's not geared for that. Instead, it's relegated to hauling freight.

The Rhb has more in-service passenger locomotives models than SBB does.

Oh yeah, i like the older stuff. As a youth, the impressions get imprinted in mind. While the Swiss did not have the impressive steam variety like the ÖBB or the Germans, their classic electric locomotives are hard to beat. Being in Zurich in 2002 the variety was there in the form of not only Swiss electric equipment, but the coming of different stuff from surrounding countries added to the mix. In the yard a two unit "Torpedo" was seen (not sure of the proper name for that unit).

I actually lined up all my loco's the other day, alphabetically, according to Manufacturer:
54261786601_4493441c0a_b.jpg

From right to left: Atlas, Athearn (x3), Bachmann, Rapido, Rivarossi (x2).

For road names, the line is lead off by the self branded Whistlestop RR (my own fictional road), followed by a "leased unit," CP Rail, Alaska RR, Central Vermont, Atlantic Coast line and the good ole' NYC.

I'm sure that CV and Alaska RR locos have been MU'ed at some point in the past... somewhere... must have been... Right? 🤣 🤣 🤣

A little update, the train i saw at the Zurich station in 2002 was a two unit RAe4/8, i guess it's reffered to as "Arrow" (?). I know there is also a single unit version of this electric unit. Unfortunately i couldn't get to it, because it was burried deeper in the yard. But it's such a cool looking train, definitely from an era when designers took a lot more care for rail vehicles to be pleasing to the eye.
