For our friends who are unfamiliar with alternating current (AC) transformers:
What is Phasing? - When you use two AC transformers together, you want their “hot” terminals to rise and fall in sync. When they match, they’re in phase.
If two AC transformers share a common ground, but their hot terminals are out of phase, they will fight each other. That can cause sparks, shorts, tripped breakers and possibly damage the transformers. If they are out of phase, simply flip one transformer’s power plug (input) 180 degrees.
