Never have but, assuming it's reasonably well built, it looks like it should do the job and it's way cheaper than the other hot knives out there.
 
I just bought one the other day. It's definitely not a quality tool, but it worked. I never expect anything from Harbor Freight to last. If I buy something from there, it's because I don't expect to use it much, or I just want to try it before I spend a lot of money on a high quality item.
