I am thinking of doing an HOn3 logging layout. Is there anyone who produces good reasonably priced locos. All I am finding is brass stuff way out of my price range. Also what size track would this run on. Thanks, Ron.

HOn3 and "reasonably priced" do not belong in the same sentence! Most are as you have determined, are brass models. MDC/Roundhouse used to offer at least one kit for an HOn3 steam engine, but don't think their new owner Horizon Hobbies has offered it recently. You may be able to find one or others on eBay. HOn3 runs on HOn3 track, believe is it still available as flextrack. I too thought about having a narrow gauge line but gave it up when I found out the costs.

An alternative might be HOn30, uses N scale track and mechanisms. There are locos and cars available. Take an N scale diesel and add a larger body for something to run, the same with steam engines. But this is craftsman level work, as they are so small.

I'm getting into On30, much more reasonable in size and costs!
