I saw a film clip on local TV about a model shipbuilder and he was using a miniature vacuum to clean the dust off his models. It looked like tube about 8 inches long with a brush on the end. Anyone know of such a hobby vacuum and where to buy it?

I do not have the answer to your question, but I thought I'd mention that your own pursed lips, inflated lungs, and a small clean artist's paint brush will be a lot cheaper, and probably at least as effective.

I purchased the vacuum attachment set by Micromark, which let me use my upright's accessory hose to clean my old 1/6 scale stuff. I still use both on some of my railroad stuff, but with the level of my HO layout (4' 6" high), I can't hold the hose and upright vacuum at the same time. I'm looking for a small dustbuster or something a little more robust than a battery operated one, since my room gets rather dusty quickly.

I do have some soft bristle brushes for cleaning rolling stock and locomotives, though.

I bought my 8pc. set at Walmart in the Craft Dept. & they also carry it in the hardware dept. for $8.00.
