Hi Everyone.
My first time posting here. I have had several ho layouts as a kid and never finished them as my family moved a lot for my dads' job. ( I went to 3 different high schools) I'd get a layout built and mostly operating an we'd be told we were moving in 6 months. (I did learn to build and paint locos and cars very well though) So after starting a shelf layout with big reverse loops
(36" curves) my son says, "Dad it'll never make it out the front door" Young whippersnapper was right. 7' by 7' won't fit out a 6'8" door. So I noticed N trak modules and was wondering if there is anything like this for HO. My modules would be able to mate up to other peoples' IF I ever find them.
I am also going to go with hand laid track as this is the last layout I will build.
( How many time have we said that?....LOL:) Any help would be great.
Thanks. Paul in Fl.

If you Google "HO module standards", you'll get dozens of hits. Not sure, but I think Free-Mo is the most popular one. You might check some clubs in your area to see if they have any module standards so you could link up with them at least sometime in the future.

After tearing down my L-girder basement-sized HO layout some 12 years ago, I went modular and never looked back. 'Course, my modules are just for my use, but the advantages are great if you think you'll ever move again.

Thanks Guys. My computer skills are very slowoy growing. I didn't have the right search peramiters. Paul in Fl.
