Yellow stripes.

I've been off this project for awhile. Added yellow striping on one side. Probably get that done this weekend and start adding details to tender.

Removed molded springs from tender's 3-axle trucks and added coiled springs for a bit more realism.

Thanks for the compliments! Replacing the old drive (where I added weight) with a new full assembly chassis/drive and a DCC board placed in the tender.

The complete chassis is from Bachmann. There was no "Spectrum" label on the box, it arrived in their new blue package, ... It's a heavy one and runs very smooth, I'm pleased with it.
I like that. Looks as good or better than the Bowser conversion drives.

Applied hi-gloss clear coat on the tender. Doing work on the decoder and wheel contacts for tender. Project is coming close to its end...

....... "Currently I'm working on the tender with details and need to add electrical pickup to the wheels for the decoder.".........

I am in Nscale, that said, what I do for electrical pick-up in tenders (w/o elec-pickup), box sound cars and cabooses is to use heat stripped wire wrap wire, and wind a coil, about 6 turns, around the axels. This only works on wheel sets with only one wheel isolated, the other wheel is electrically connected to a metal axel. There is maker that makes wheel wipers, I forget the name.

PS I have one truck pick up one side and the other truck pick up the other rail. I se ONE wire to wrap BOTH axels on a truck leaving a long end to feed up into the car.

BTW NICE job
